This situation has increased gaps in terms of salaries, education and health care system, provoking social conflicts among different groups of citizens like those witnessed in France. In several areas, civil protests led to violent clashes with police. The rise of extreme right groups and parties is worsening the whole picture, especially after the last round of European elections. Their growth is a major threat to the EU itself due to their commitment to dismantle it. Armed conflicts are spreading within Europe as well and the case of Ukraine is a remarkable one, bringing the area on the verge of war while the whole neighbouring Middle East is facing renovated escalation of violence and instability. Training young people on issues like non-violence and media-activism is an essential tool to provide answers to the aforementioned situations. The mirroring of experiences between youngsters will be an opportunity to share best practice aimed at transforming conflicts at urban and transnational level, producing different narratives with the fundamental support of new media. In the weeks after the Training, participants will collect the material produced and used in the framework of the training in an interactive Ebook.
