It is the Sacrament we celebrate most often and is, according to the Second Vatican Council, the “source and summit of the Christian life”. In this one evening we will look at some aspects of the Mass with the hope that we might enter more deeply into this mystery. We hope you can join us! We’ll begin with an elegant, catered continental breakfast. Then, Mary Matestic’s presentation follows: “When we were children our parents taught us to pray. Recently Pope Francis has spoken about prayer that is more potent, more tenacious and more courageous. This talk will offer the tools and insights to pray to God with holy boldness and courage so as to move mountains. Come re-discover the miracle of prayer.” Mary Matestic has a Master of Theological Studies Degree from St. Francis Seminary. Mary ministered for 20 years as Pastoral Associate at St. Mary Parish, Hales Corners. She continues to lead retreats, teach, and offer spiritual direction.
