(Thursday, July 25, 2013) - A true American tradesman, Alabama native Kyle Carter, employs IRWIN tools every day in his role as a maintenance worker. That practice not only improves his on-the-job performance but also helped award him the ultimate NASCAR experience - a trip to the IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Carter recently got a preview of how the Last Great Coliseum stirs the competitive juices when he entered the track for the first time to test his skills in a "friendly" competition. "TV doesn't do it [Bristol Motor Speedway] justice," Carter said. "It's so much bigger than I expected. I really can't believe I won such an awesome prize. I think I'm still in shock!" After the initial shock waned, Carter and Dale Jarrett went head-to-head against Andy Petree and BMS-tradesman Mike Pansock in a timed competition designed to showcase the strengths of both professionals. After using various IRWIN tools in real world applications, the teams raced to the BMS Ford Mustang Pace Car for three quick laps around the World's Fastest Half Mile. While Petree and Pansock emerged from the close competition as winners by a mere two seconds, Carter knows there are even closer races in store for his return trip next month. "A half-mile race track is so exciting," he said. "Everybody is racing right together, and you just never know what's going to happen." For those wanting to join Carter for August's battle royale under the Bristol lights, grandstand tickets to cheer on your favorite gladiator are currently $5 less than the race-week cost. August race weekend ticket packages for the IRWIN Tools Night Race on Saturday, Aug. 24, and the Food City 250 Nationwide event on Friday, Aug. 23, remain available, starting at $99. Great seats remain around the facility with lower-row seating for the Night Race starting at $75. Tickets for the Food City 250 start at $35 for adults and $17 for youth 15-and-under. The Wednesday night doubleheader features the Titan Roof 150 Whelen Modified race and the UNOH 200 Camping World Truck Series event. Considered by many to be one of the best nights of racing in NASCAR, tickets are $30 and free for youth 15-and-under.
