STEUBENVILLE TORONTO 2014 YOUTH CONFERENCE Information & Registration Packet Dates: Fri. July, 4th – Sun. July, 6th, 2014 Location: Mattamy Athletic Centre (Maple Leaf Gardens) – Toronto, ON Chaperones: Nadia Gundert, Director of Youth Ministry, Archdiocese of Kingston Adult Volunteers from the Archdiocese of Kingston (screened youth ministry leaders) Meals & Accommodations: Hotel Accommodations booked by Steubenville Toronto 4 persons per hotel room (rooms/floors separated males and females) Conference Cost: Cost of the weekend is $275. That includes your registration and access to the weekend conference, six meals (one Friday evening, three on Saturday, two on Sunday), and hotel stay. Bus Travel to the Youth Conference will be covered by the Archdiocese of Kingston Youth Office. Fundraising: The Archdiocese of Kingston will be registering as a group and individual parishes are welcome to have their own fundraising initiatives that would support their youth attending. The Youth Office will have a FUDGE Fundraiser from “The Fudgery Shoppe” in Waterloo, ON that will be available for all participants to be part of and reduce their individual registration cost. Individual participants will canvas friends and family for fudge orders and the profits gained on your orders will be yours. This initiative can cover your entire registration cost if enough orders are placed. More details to follow. If you choose not to participate in fundraising, the full cost of $275 will be what you owe for the trip. Transportation: The Archdiocese of Kingston Youth Office will be sponsoring a bus or two for youth participants across our archdiocese to attend this conference. Pick up locations will be determined when all participant information has been received. Steubenville Toronto is a powerful weekend of evangelization for Catholic high school teens. The event provides a setting for developing a deeper relationship with Jesus through a weekend conference of faith, music, sharing, guest speakers, activities, and fun. It will take place at St. Francis Retreat Centre, near Orangeville. Steubenville recommends that applicants will have attended a Steubenville Conference in the past, and are registered for the present conference. Registration will take place exclusively online (January 13, 2014) Steubenville reviews applications. If interested in this leadership program you would register on your own online for this but submit your conference registration with the Archdiocese of Kingston.
