Education, qualification & experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer related area or in field related to the users of the lab.

Two years of experience with software and hardware in use within the lab.

Competencies:

Thorough knowledge of the use of microcomputers, their operating systems, their programming languages and the software packages available for them. Basic familiarity with terminal equipment and communications.

Basic knowledge of personal computer systems and software applications helpful.

Working knowledge of the Internet including how websites work as well as search techniques.

Working knowledge of file management within the Windows environment, including the use of various forms of storage media.

Working knowledge of email setup techniques for free, web-based email accounts.
