Experiential Learning Cooperative Education Courses The following Cooperative Education courses are double credit courses offered in the mornings or afternoons in both semesters. There is also a four credit co-op package available in second semester only for certain technology based co-ops (construction, electrical, automotive service/autobody, welding, manufacturing). This will be in addition to offering the double credit co-ops in these technology based areas. Students must take the regular school-based related course first or concurrently if they want to choose to take the related co-op course. The first five digits of the co-op course must match the first five digits of the in-school pre-requisite course. Example: Students choosing to take the 2 credit Biology co-op course SBI 3UD must have already taken, or have chosen to concurrently take SBI 3U1 Students who choose a co-op course on their course registration will be contacted (usually in March or early April) by a coop teacher who will provide them with an application form, and teacher reference forms to be completed. An interview will follow to determine suitability for the coop program. All of the following double credit Cooperative Education courses in all subject disciplines follow the course description listed below. The four credit program will be similar in structure with increased hours in placement work experience and in-school integration.
