A resolution accepting the lowest bid meeting specifications for Item # 1010, 1160, 1300, and 1670 to Pyramid School Products; Item # 1020, 1090, 1120, 1130, 1140, 1270, 1290, 1360, 1370, 1410, 1420, 1440, 1480, 1490, 1500, 1520, 1580, 1590, 1600, 1610, 1700, 1770, and 1840 to Staples Sporting Good; Item # 1070, 1810, 1930, and 1960 to Anaconda Sports, Inc.; Item # 1250, 1310, 1350, 1430, 1470, 1510, 1680, 1730, 1740, 1750, 1760, 1780, 1790, 1830, 1890, 1900, 1910, and 1920 to Sports Supply Group, Inc.; Item # 1320, 1330, 1340, and 1640 to Cannon Sports, Inc.; Item # 1180 to Flaghouse, Inc.; Item # 1030, 1110, 1190, 1200, 1210, 1220, 1230, 1240, 1280, 1380, 1400, 1450, 1460, 1560, 1570, 1690, 1710, 1860, and 1950 to JP Sports, Inc. under Bid Number 50-96485 for a supply of baseball/softball equipment for the Department of Parks and Recreation- Westbank (Council Districts 1, 2, & 3). WHEREAS, Item # 1010, 1020, 1090, 1180, 1220, 1290, 1300, 1310, 1370, 1410, 1430, 1440, 1470, 1520, 1670, 1700, 1760, 1770, 1780, and 1830 were disqualified from the original low bid and accepted by the next lowest bid because the products being bid did not meet bid specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson Parish Council of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, acting as governing authority of the Department of Parks and Recreation of said Parish: SECTION 1. That the lowest bid meeting specifications for Item # 1010, 1160, 1300, and 1670 to Pyramid School Products; Item # 1020, 1090, 1120, 1130, 1140, 1270, 1290, 1360, 1370, 1410, 1420, 1440, 1480, 1490, 1500, 1520, 1580, 1590, 1600, 1610, 1700, 1770, and 1840 to Staples Sporting Good; Item # 1070, 1810, 1930, and 1960 to Anaconda Sports, Inc.; Item # 1250, 1310, 1350, 1430, 1470, 1510, 1680, 1730, 1740, 1750, 1760, 1780, 1790, 1830, 1890, 1900, 1910, and 1920 to Sports Supply Group, Inc.; Item # 1320, 1330, 1340, and 1640 to Cannon Sports, Inc.; Item # 1180 to Flaghouse, Inc.; Item # 1030, 1110, 1190, 1200, 1210, 1220, 1230, 1240, 1280, 1380, 1400, 1450, 1460, 1560, 1570, 1690, 1710, 1860, and 1950 to JP Sports, Inc. under Bid Number 50-96485 for a supply of baseball/softball equipment for the Department of Parks and Recreation (Council Districts 1, 2, & 3). SECTION 2. That all bids received for Item No. 1040 under Bid Proposal No. 5096485 for a supply of baseballs for the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby rejected due to a need to revise the specifications for this item. SECTION 3. That the Purchasing Department be and is hereby authorized to readvertise, receive, and reopen sealed bids using revised specifications for Item # 1040 for the Department of Parks and Recreation. SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect upon the Bid Disqualification Review Committee affirming the Department’s disqualification of JP Sports, Inc. for Item # 1010, 1020, 1180, 1370, 1410, 1430, 1440, 1470, 1520, 1760, 1770, 1780, and 1830; Sports Supply Group, Inc. for Item # 1290, 1300, 1670, and 1700; Cannon Sports, Inc. for Item # 1020 and 1090; and Staples for Item # 1180; Flaghouse, Inc. for Item # 1220 and 1310; S & S Worldwide for Item # 1310; Pyramid School Products for Item # 1830 as not meeting specifications or, if no hearing before said committee is requested, upon the expiration of the delays afforded the said high bidder for requesting same; should the said committee not affirm the Department’s disqualification, the resolution shall be deemed rescinded and shall have no effect. SECTION 5. That the Purchasing Division of the Department of Finance be and is hereby authorized to issue a blanket purchase order and/or contract for the purchase of said products in accordance with the terms of the bid proposal and this resolution. SECTION 6. The cost is not to exceed $ 40,000.00 and is to be charged as follows: 21830-2532-7235.3.
