CONSULTANCY PROJECTS
Full life cycle involvement with some large organizations through discovery and delivery of Workflow
Automation and BPM solutions based on Ultimus product includes but not limited to

A Management of Change, British Petroleum. The project was developed to cater proactive approach with
two-fold objectives: firstly to challenge the need for change and to critically analyze its wider impacts on the
business goals; and secondly to evaluate, authorize and document changes before they are made and to
ensure proper closure after the changes are completed. Its purpose was to establish the procedures
necessary to ensure that the HSE and operational risks arising from proposed changes are managed to an
acceptable level. It is also an excellent communication tools to inform impacted groups of areas that a
change is being considered and/or about to occur.

eSafe, British Petroleum. The process is designed to automate the British Petroleum Safe Card Process. The
process is mainly used to identify any risk in the organization infrastructure and steps to mitigate that risk.
Previously Safe Card Process was a web based application with limited features and time consuming to
manage tasks and task routing. The project provided BP real-time decision making and transparency of all
the data involved in the process, streamlining the results and increased ROI.

Marketing Processes, Unilever Pakistan Limited. The main challenge at Unilever was to integrate and
deploy workflow solution with their legacy ERP systems MFG/Pro. The project was completed well within
the defined timeline of one month with successful demonstration of integration and data flow from and to
their ERP system in the process for marketing materials (conceptual design to actual production).

Auto Finance and Mortgage Process, United Bank Limited. The BPM solution was delivered for the
processing of an application for auto finance and mortgage services with complex and time consuming rules
for through verifications and approvals, along with the complete chain of record to track back case. These
verification and approvals includes Fraud Risk Management checks, Credit and Limiting. The second stage of
the process takes care of Fund Disbursement, Delivery of documents, Vigilance and application update.

Hiring Process, Mobilink Orascom Telecom. The process developed and delivered to streamline activities to
gain better productivity and efficiently at all levels carried out in hiring new employees, reducing
unnecessary load from process participant for coordination, task tracking and data redundancy. The process
was developed integrating Mobilink HR Portal and their internally developed HRM system.

Business Travel Process, Emaar Group International. The process was developed to deliver automation of
workflow for travel requisition for the purpose of business trip. The process is about whether the initiated
requisition is viable or not. It is routed through a defined channel for authorization, approval, followed by
the travel arrangements to be made by the administration department. The process flows through
concerned people and end with settlement of traveler’s account against the details submitted and
verification of expense incurred.

DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Experience of product development and all stages of development lifecycle, object oriented analysis and design;
expertise in 3rd party application integration module.

Ultimus FloStation. Development and maintenance of major component of Ultimus BPM Suite. Ultimus
FloStation can operate as a standalone Windows application or as a Service. FloStations communicate with
the Ultimus BPM Server via HTTP, HTTPS or DCOM. This means that FloStations can be located anywhere
there is Web access. This powerful feature enables Flobots to perform tasks at remote locations. FloStations
can be grouped in the Administrator. A designer can select a specific FloStation to carry out the task or
select a Group. Any member FloStation of the Group can perform the task. This provides a simple but
elegant load balancing mechanism.

Ultimus Flobots, Workflow Automated Agents. Design, development and maintenance of 3rd party
integration modules for Ultimus product. These Flobots make powerful and popular applications such as
Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word into “workflow robots.” Just as robots are used to perform many
different tasks on the factory floor, one can use popular applications to perform specific workflow tasks.
Also developed an extensive enterprise development kit that allows custom integration with third party
application which includes but not limited to Microsoft Office Flobots (word and excel), MS Exchange,
Database, Email, XML, File Flobot, ASCII File Flobot, Acrobat Forms Flobot and integration of Document
Management Systems (Kofax, Documentum, SharePoint).

Third party integration includes but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), MS Exchange,
Database, Email, File Management, and XML.

The Ultimus Enterprise Integration Kit (EIK). Participated in development of Ultimus EIK and managed a
group of developers for further development and maintenance. The EIK provides advance functionality to
help VARs, ISVs, and customers who wish to customize or integrate the Ultimus software into proprietary
applications. Ultimus EIK includes .NET interface, Web Services Interface, Event Subscription and Custom
application integration with Ultimus product.

Ultimus Administrator Module. Developed and managed module which offers powerful, centralized
capabilities and conveniences for remotely managing and administrating workflow and providing the lowest
Total Cost of Ownership. It was a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) based application that provides a
familiar interface for administrators. Initially I was assigned to developed and managed Ultimus
Administrator Module till version 6. Version 7 onwards, this module was assigned to one of my team
members for maintenance and enhancement with additional features.

Documentation Tool. Designed and developed unique tool for process documentation with rich features
tightly integrated with the Ultimus BPM Studio. This feature allows users to create their own report
templates using Microsoft Word. The templates are configured to accept Ultimus process details in specified
location using a simple point-and-click interface. Once a template has been created, the user can easily
produce documentation for any process designed in Ultimus BPM Studio. Different templates can be used
for different purposes. Since the documents are produced in Microsoft Word, it is easy to customize or edit
the documents if any additional information is required.

Digital Pen Integration. To utilize this useful technology by Anoto Group, developed an integration
application for an EMR system to connect it to digital pen and transfer data from paper to EMR. Also
developed a separate application to print patient data from the EMR database on the office forms which can

be used with the digital pens to capture the information as structured electronic data instead of just as
scanned image.
