O3D Process Interface Software Setup for Ethernet IP
1. First you must upgrade the firmware to Version to Firmware 4063, this can be
found and downloaded under the pmd3d – O3D200 Sensor area from the link
below.

2. Open O3D Parameter Setting Software and connect to the device.
(Please note that this step will remove all existing programs on the unit, please
download all important application files prior to proceeding)
3. Select “Update Sensor Firmware” under the file menu, follow steps to select the
new firmware file “O3D2xx-4063_upgrade.swu”
4. Please make sure to Reboot the O3D unit after the firmware upgrade is completed
successfully.
5. Open O3D Process Interface Software. (Version 1.0.24056 or higher)
6. Type in IP Address, then press “Connect.”
(O3D must be disconnected from Parameter Software E3D200)
7. Select “Process Interface” tab and follow set up below.
8. Select “Ethernet/IP” tab and set up as follows:
9. Select “Output Format” tab and setup as follows:
 Start and Stop strings can also be lower case.
 NOTE: Delete any characters inside the “Separator” box. Any characters
inside this box will create an additional offset in the data stream, therefore
making the data difficult to understand at the PLC.
10. O3D Process Interface Setup is now complete. Continue to RSLogix Setup
Procedure.
RSLogix 5000 Setup for O3D Process Interface
1. Create a Generic Ethernet Module with the following settings:
2. After establishing communication between the O3D and PLC AND if it is the first
time connecting to the O3D via Ethernet IP, insert the following information in
the Output tables:
(Sending the command “0000p1” will enable the O3D’s output data stream.)
