6 Kingdoms of Classification Foldable: 300 points
To make the foldable, fold 4 sheets of paper to create the 8 tabs shown below. Use the chapters and the
appendix section on classification in your textbook, your note-taking handouts, and other reference books

For each Kingdom you must include the following, or as modified on the tabs:
o Define each Kingdom in general terms– this info. is separate from the “characteristics”. (10 points)
o List the major characteristics of organisms in that kingdom. (Minimum= 5 characteristics)
(Examples may include categories such as: Body plans, reproduction methods, unique cellular structures,
how they obtain food/energy, means of movement, or whatever is “unique” to this Kingdom that
separates it from other kingdoms.) (18 points)
o List 2 organisms or as indicated in each kingdom and draw or paste a picture of each.
See tabs below for the minimum number of examples, and other details.

ANIMALS
Define invertebrates and vertebrates
give 2 examples & picture of EACH type
5 KINGDOM VS 6 KINGDOM CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
(1. Explain in detail why scientists divided the Monera Kingdom into the two separate
Kingdoms, including the major differences of their cell wall makeup, RNA, etc.
