some cultures (African Tribes) nodding the head can actually mean NO!
9. How does the media portray beauty? Is beauty universal?
10. Look at the image on page 71. What do these models have in common that make
them the modern norm for beautiful?
11. Does it surprise you that obese women were considered the most attractive over 100
years ago and still are in some cultural groups (Why)?
12. Have your learned cultural beliefs (things you didn’t like) changed? Do you think
they may some day? HOW? WHY? You might some day find people that weight over 500 lbs more
attractive than people who are in professional athletic shape?
