1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
a. Designed as a self serve low profile wide island style refrigerated case, open type,
double-sided, for fresh meat, pre-pak meat, and deli products. Self-contained unit
b. Approximate dimensions: 8 ft and 12 ft lengths x 4 ft height x 6 ft width.
2. OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
a. Designed as a self-contained island style refrigerated case, open type, double-sided,
medium temperature. Merchandises self serve fresh meat, pre-pak meat, and deli
products.
b. Case profile:
(1) Island style single deck case with 8 – 10 inch high straight plexiglass perimeter,
sloped inward for air flow efficiency.
(2) Unit base 4 ft wide and top deck 6 ft wide. Top deck to extend beyond base
approximately 1 ft on all sides.
(3) Height of unit base 20 inches. Top deck is sloped, rising towards the center of the
case, with product approximately 26 – 36 inches above floor.
(4) Designed for use as a self-serve display with access from all sides and provided
with a non-refrigerated center top display area, 18 inches high x 12 - 14 inches
wide and extending ¾ the length of the case.
(5) Dimensions 8 ft or 12 ft length x 6 ft width x 3 ft height (4 ft with top display), as
specified below.
c. Designed for operation at maximum of 75 degrees Fahrenheit DB and 55 percent RH.
d. Provided with electronic thermostat temperature control. One temperature control per
condensing unit.
e. Shelves: base deck provided with black epoxy coated wire shelf extending full length of
case. Provides for minimum 5 inch product depth. Wire rack can be adjusted to
multiple positions for display of product.
f. Lighting: full length rows of T-8 fluorescent lighting at both sides of non-refrigerated
center top display. Lamp shields shall be provided for each light fixture.
g. Provided with 3 inch black continuous protective molding at top edge of case.
h. Provided with stainless steel kick rail.
i. Price tag molding: front edge of deck shall be equipped with price tag molding to hold
standard size price tags and labels.
j. Solar digital thermometer (Com Trol temperature probe) shall be mounted in discharged
air opening.
k. Electronic (SSC) high efficiency fan motors.

l. Standard electrical is dual voltage 120/208 -230V / 60 HZ / 3 PH (20 amp fuse)
(5 wire), to be hardwired to power source.
m. Color: case is black laminate finish interior and exterior with stainless steel trim.
n. Case to be constructed of welded steel frame with sheet metal interior and exterior
panels. Provided with urethane coated insulated deck. Insulation is foamed in place
CFC free polyurethane throughout case.
o. Case is self-contained with bottom mounted condensing units for ease of maintenance.
Designed to maintain an adjustable product medium temperature of both 32 degrees for
fresh meat and 36through 40 degrees Fahrenheit for pre-packaged and deli products,
within plus or minus 1 degree of the adjustable setting. Temperatures are critical
throughout all areas of the case; case must hold temp throughout.
p. Refrigerant to be R-134-a, or 404-a. Expansion valve provided.
q. Motor compressor minimum 1 H.P. for 8 ft length case and minimum 2 H.P. for 12 ft
case.
r. Case to be provided without requirement for floor drain. Seamless, non-corrosive
electric condensate dissipator pan included.
s. Provided with a four point leveling system.
t. Provided with manufacturers standard defrost.
