Admission to TAMUK as a leveling student does not guarantee admission into the graduate
program nor does it ensure successful acquisition of a license as a Speech-Language
Pathology Assistant or employment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
Misconduct as it relates to Certification and Licensure
Students should also be advised that the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and
Audiology may deny a license to an applicant because of conviction for a felony or misdemeanor if the crime
directly relates to the professional duties of a speech-language pathologist or audiologist. See the State
Boards website for details (http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/speech/).
