Boccia is played indoors. A
jack (white ball) is thrown
into the court and players
try to throw closest to the
jack. Volunteers must be
comfortable assisting
physically disabled
individuals in a friendly,
informal group. Suitable for
high school community
involvement hours.
Board meetings take place once
a month
General volunteer position is a
daytime position, hours at
discretion of volunteer in
discussion with centre staff
Board members required (all
positions). The Annual General
Meeting takes place on April
4th from 6-8 pm at Chandler
Mowat Community Centre.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Road closure in front of
Kitchener City Hall square will
allow the public to walk, bike,
roll and stroll along the “main
drag” for a Sunday afternoon of
socializing, entertainment and
fresh air. Volunteers will be
ambassadors for the City & the
event; ensure pedestrian,
vendor & entertainment safety;
conduct surveys of participants;
help out with children’s
activities; guide participants to
resources and facilities.
