Be able to answer the research questions
o What are the different types of macromolecules? (What are the different types
of each macromolecule i.e Lipids: Triglycerides, Phospholipids, Steroids)
o What do the different types of macromolecules do in living things? (What is their
role or function?)
o What are made of or what’s their monomer (if they have one)?
Know the structural difference between a Triglyceride and a phospholipid.
Be able to determine whether or not a lipid is saturated or unsaturated when analyzing
its molecular structure (Hint: when looking at a diagram of a lipid)
Know the structural difference between a monosaccharide, disaccharide, and
polysaccharide.
Be able to explain what enzymes do, how enzymes work, and how extremes in pH and
Temperature affect enzymes and their ability to function.
Be able to analyze and interpret data from a graph or table.
Be able to identify the independent and dependent variables in an experiment.
Be able to identify the control test or group in an experiment.
