Lesson Plan – Mr. Harrold – 7th Grade Science
Week of: Sept.29, 2014
Purpose:
This week we will be we will be studying the rock cycle and the three types of rocks. Our goals are to describe the processes of the rock cycle. We are
going to classify how to determine different types of igneous rocks. The class will also determine the different types of sedimentary rocks and how
these types of rocks formed. Students will also see how heat and pressure can alter rocks in to metamorphic rocks
These lessons address PSSA standards:
3.5.7A Describe earth features and processes.
