Location
Hong Kong – Situated in the southeastern part of China. It is a dynamic city with the
blend of East and West, famous for shopping and food. You will be amazed by Hong
Kong’s skyline and harbor. The official languages are Chinese and English, with
Cantonese the most common spoken Chinese dialect. Hong Kong is also a major
financial center in the world. There are many international events happening
throughout the year, you will never get bored here in Hong Kong!
Shanghai – It is China’s capital of commerce, industry, and finance with a population
of over 16 million. Shanghai is an open city along the coast, as well as a famous
historical and cultural city. The official language in China in Putonghua.
Shanghainese speak Putonghua or Shanghaihua. There are over a thousand restaurants
serving the famous 16 styles of Chinese food, such as Beijing, Sichuan, Guangdong,
Yangzhou, Fujian, etc. There are also French, Russian, Italian, English, German,
Japanese, Indian and other kinds of foreign cuisines and vegetarian food. In Shanghai
you can have a taste of all the different kinds of food in the world.
Kuala Lumpur – The state capital of Malaysia. Because KL lies just north of the
equator, the city experiences a hot, humid climate year-round with little seasonal
variation in temperature or rainfall. The average annual temperature is 27° C (80° F).
Malaysia has a multicultural and multiracial population consisting of Malays, Chinese,
and Indians. Malay is the official language, English is widely spoken, especially in
business, and the English language is a compulsory subject in all schools.
Mumbai – India is a fascinating continent with a rich and ancient history, diverse
languages, gods and godesses and a myriad of sounds, smells and exciting and
interesting things to discover. You will either love it or hate it. We hope you will not
only enjoy your experience but want to return. Hopefully you will be aware before
you arrive of some of the drawbacks and be prepared adjust to the climate, the food
and the change in the living conditions. We would like to tell you that the people in
India are soft and warm hearted though they make some of the most shrewd business
people anywhere they go to in the world and in India.
The heat can get to you, so will the grime, dirt and open poverty. Hopefully you can
take all this in your stride and realize that it is a vast and complex country and while
India is changing, it will take several more generations.
Contract Length
We are looking for an American who has a passion for teaching and is very interested
to have a career path develop in India. We would like you to stay with us for the full
18 months. After that, perhaps you can join one of our centers as prospects for
promotion and growth do exist within our Group. The initial contract will be for 18
months.

The Sara Beattie Group owns and operates The Princeton Review for the Western
Region of India, the whole of Malaysia, Hong Kong and Shanghai in China.
Qualifications
The post is open to a Graduate with an above average GPA, 3.7 or more with scores of
1300 plus in SAT. If you taken a Princeton Review Course or have trained under The
Princeton Review, this will be an asset. The best age group would be about 25-32.
We will provide round trip transportation between New York and the city you will be
working at, housing allowance, visa and salary.
Working Hours
The Princeton Review runs over the weekends and a weekday off is generally given to
our teachers. We work a 5 and a half day week. If we get busy we work on Saturday
afternoon. All our students are at school or work so this is very necessary. When
there are no classes running during the weekends, we see students, run Seminars or
meet parents or do business planning.
Salary
Competitive – details available upon request. If you have great student evaluations
and get good referrals, this will reflect in your being paid a bonus. Although we are
quite new in India, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur and are not yet profitable, all our
staff are on a profit-sharing. On completion of 18 months service you will be paid 2
months bonus.
