MyStatLab (MSL) Registration and HW 1
Due Date and Time: Immediately.
Read this entire assignment prior to attempting any assignment in MyStatLab (MSL). Doing so may
result in a zero for a very easy assignment.
PART A: Register for MyStatLab
1) MyStatLab is an on-line course delivery platform. You will complete your Homework Assignments
and Reading Assessment quizzes on MSL. You will access the textbook (ebook); handouts; and
additional help sources via MSL.
2) Register in MSL in immediately so that you are enrolled in the course. Please read your syllabus
carefully, more detailed homework and quiz instructions are provided. Course information will be sent
through the email address you provide in MSL. Please use your UNT email address as your login name
and your UNT email as your email address. You are, of course, welcome to forward all of your UNT
email to a different email address if you use a different one. Please be advised that I will correspond
email only with UNT accounts.
Follow the instructions provided on the next page to register in MyStatLab.

In this course you will be using MyStatLab – an online resource to help you assess your math skills, do homework, take
tests, view tutorial videos, and more!
Before You Begin:

Student Registration:

Enter www.pearsonmylab.com in your web browser

Under Register, Click Student
o
Enter your Course ID exactly as provided by your instructor and click Continue. Your course
information should appear. If not, contact your instructor to verify the correct Course ID.

Sign in or follow the instructions to create an account. Use an email address that you use and if
possible use that same email address for your username. Read and accept the License Agreement
and Privacy Policy.

Click Access code. Enter your Access cod in the boxes and click Next. If you do not have an access
code and want to pay by credit card or PayPal, select the access lever you and follow the instructions.
You may also get temporary access without payment for 17 days.
Once your registration is complete, a Confirmation page will appear. You will also receive this information by
email. Make sure you print the Confirmation page as your receipt. Remember to write down your username
and password. You are now ready to access your resources!
Signing In:
Go to www.pearsonmylab.com and click Sign in.
Enter your username and password and click Sign In
On the left, click the name of your course
The first time you enter your course from your own computer and anytime you use a different computer, click
the Installation Wizard or Browser Check on the Announcements page. After completing the installation
process an closing the wizard, you will be on your course home page and ready to explore your MyStatLab
resources!

Now that you are registered, let’s access your MyStatLab course, upload the necessary plug-ins and explore some of
the features. Answer all of the questions in PART B BEFORE you attempt the first online MyStatLab homework
assignment.
PART B: MyStatLab Overview- Exploring
1) Select the HOMEWORK button and then click on the homework assignment for 7. What is the first question
