Dear Student:
In this course you will be using MyStatLab – an online resource to help you assess your math skills, do homework,
take tests, view tutorial videos, and more!
What you need to begin:
•
•
A Student Access Kit (packaged inside a new textbook or purchased separately at the Special
Services Desk at the bookstore).
A valid email address
In addition, your instructor will provide you with:
• A “Course ID”
Student Registration:
1. Go to www.MyStatLab.com
2. Click on the Register button and on the next screen click Student under Register
3. Enter your Course ID exactly as provided by your instructor and click “Continue.” Your course
information should appear. If not, contact your instructor to verify the correct Course ID.
4. If you have ever used another Pearson product (eg. MathXL, MasteringPhysics, etc.) you can enter your
existing login name and password. If you don’t have an existing Pearson account click “Create an
Account”
5. Select Use an Access Code and type your Access Code in the fields provided (one word per field) and
click Next. An access code will come with each new copy of the textbook or your can purchase an access
code separately at the Special Services desk in the bookstore. Access codes will be sold in the bookstore
for ~$40 while they are ~$80 online so the bookstore is the best place to get your access code if you are
not purchasing a new textbook.
Once your registration is complete, you will see a Confirmation screen (this information will also be emailed to you).
Important: You MUST install all required software plugins to use this website from a home or work computer. A

Dashboard. You must also disable any pop-up blockers for this site only.
Technical Support
Contact Product Support at http://www.mystatlab.com/student-support for student “getting started”
information, to fill out an online request form, or use Pearson’s live Chat feature to talk with a member of the support
team.
It is important that you contact Pearson customer support (follow the links from the home
page) with any registration or technical problems. When ever you talk to Pearson support you
will be given an incident number. If for some reason support is not able to solve your
problem you can go to your instructor with your incident number. Do not contact your
instructor about technical issues unless you have an incident number or they will ask you to
go back to support.
