Lesson Objective-SWBAT recognize verbs servir and pedir forms. SWBAT identify
food and drink, place setting vocabulary.

Do now: Ss list foods they ate and drink over the weekend. Ss write them on board. We will
review as a class.
Review stem-changing verbs. Ss will be placed in groups of 3 and explain to other
classmates the endings of regular ar/er/ir verbs as well as stem-changing verbs.
-T will introduce pedir and servir by showing two slides with examples of servir and pedir
used in context. –A1
-Ss will complete activity 17 p. 48 and act 18 p. 49. Ss will participate by writing answers on
the board. Review and discuss.
- T will deliver envelopes with cut out pieces of sentences. Ss will need to put words in
correct order to create a complete sentence. Ss will write them and turn them as their exit
ticket. – A4
Materials: tablet (powerpoint), textbook, envelopes, sentence strips.
Lesson Objective- SWBAT say what they order when they go to a restaurant. SWBAT
identify foods they eat for different meals.

-Silent ball: Ss review vocabulary.
-Dictado: T will say what he prefers to eat and drink during the day. Ss need to write what
they hear. In addition, Ss will create one sentence based on the teacher’s and say it out
loud. Classmates will write their colleagues’ sentences.

Materials: copies stem-changing verb wksht, sponge ball, copies of quiz, cds
Lesson Objective-SWBAT identify forms of the stem changing verbs (probar, preferir
and poder). SWBAT associate a group of pictures to form a food/drink. SWBT
describe what their classmates cannot eat, what they prefer to eat when going to a
restaurant and something they would like to try someday.
Do now:
Ss will write a sentence for each of the stem-changing verns being studied. (probar,
preferir and poder).
Play association game with food/
Survey: have ss create a survey and ask each other something that they would
like to taste that they have not tasted yet, something they prefer to eat for a meal
and something that they cannot eat. Ss will write a conclusion, and write 3
sentences describing what their classmates prefer to eat for a particular meal,
something they would like to try and something they dislike. T collects ss work for
evaluation and provide feedback. – B4,
