Outline the strategies you will employ in each of the following areas:
Equality & Diversity
If required I will ensure that any materials created will be in a format suitable for the student to access and use.
There are a number of students whose second language is English therefore I will try to ensure that they are understanding the
delivered material by checking their knowledge at regular intervals.
Health & Safety
I will ensure that any equipment used has been PAT tested and that students do not bring their own mains powered equipment
into college.
I have arranged provision of the correct type of seating for students with posture problems.
I have checked the room (HE1) for any trailing wires and faulty electrical equipment.
The room has adequate lighting and ventilation and is accessible by disabled students via the lift.
I will inform the students of the fire drill and evacuation procedures
Additional Learning Support
None identified
Skills Development (e.g. Literacy, Numeracy, Learning and Employability)
Many of the skills in this unit will be useful in the IT industry as they reflect the current industrial standards.
Skills in the use of numbering systems are taught and practiced through programming sessions.
The writing of and collation of assignments will increase the literary and organisation skills of the student – especially where
English is not the first language
