prices would go up forever.

on the stock market, but within a few months of the crash, unemployment rates began to rise.
6. Industrial production, prices, and wages fell sharply, and a long business slump known as the
Great Depression began.
7. By 1932, factory production had been cut in half, about 86,000 businesses had failed, and almost
9,000 banks had closed.

in 1929 to 25 percent in 1933.
