The modules learning outcomes will be achieved through the following
teaching and learning strategies:
 A series of lectures and complimentary seminars. One topic of
Organisational Behaviour is covered in each lecture with the following
seminar on the same topic the following week. Seminars will be used
to consolidate lectures and facilitate student discussion and
understanding
 P/T integrated lecture and tutorial.
 For each topic, students will engage in preparation and reading prior to
each seminar. Students will be asked to share their reading of the
topic through discussion with their peer group, present their findings to
the seminar group and provide feedback to other students
 Short multiple choice tests will be used to test student learning
 WebCT will be used to support teaching and learning material as well
as formative assessment
 In addition to the weeks where there is a specific topic, students will be
given time for revision and consultation with tutors
Formative: Ongoing feedback on progress, via discussion and MCQ in
tutorials.
Summative: 100% Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Exam
The module aims outline that the student is able to both identify and describe
the aspects of Organisational Behaviour covered in the module and not only
demonstrate their understanding of the topics but also how they can be applied
to organisations. A summative MCQ exam is considered appropriate to
covering the breadth of indicative content and the learning outcomes and in an
efficient and effective way. Following guidance from tutors, students will
articulate and discuss key ideas and issues that develop their theoretical
knowledge and practical application to organisations and managers. Formative
assessment will take the form of ongoing feedback from peers, tutors and
practice multiple choice tests.
