1 ‘Nothing is Impossible’ Part 1 (Positioning Our Heart) We will study: 1. Nothing is Impossible 2. Positioning Our Heart Scripture Reading: Mark 9:23-25, NIV, Mark 9:23-25, AMP Faith for the impossible begins with you and me standing on God’s Word and relying on Him as the only source of comfort for deliverance and direction. It is only when we admit to having limitations in our faith that we can believe that God’s Word will strengthen our faith. The Word of God generates faith in us. The ‘all things are possible’ are in a spiritual dimension where there’s no doubt or unbelief. The possibilities of what we can do or have as believers are established in our ability not to doubt God or ourselves. The quickest method to cause an impossible situation to become a possible manifestation is to: a. Take immediate action b. Avoid the negativity of others c. Sustain a faith atmosphere Matthew 17:20, NIV A. Nothing is impossible if God is in the mix of what our hearts are set to do, however we must promote His will. The will of God automatically removes all doubts of impossibilities. Luke 1:34-38, KJV 1. Responsive faith in God’s ability to do what He says is faith which has no boundaries or limitations. 2 Chronicles 20:20-22, NIV 2. The impossibilities of the unseen or unknown become possible when we have a God kind of faith. This is a faith that believes our words have authority to produce what is demanded. Mark 11:22-23, NIV 3. The limitation to possibilities derives from a negative perception or insight. A negative perception always views the worst as the best result. A negative perception repeats again and again the possibility of failure. A negative perception can’t develop faith because of living in fear. A negative perception is usually fueled by an atmosphere of gossip, carnality, and deception, influenced by demonic spirits. 2 4. How do we break the stronghold of a negative perception? We change our thinking. Thinking on God’s Word will cultivate our heart to produce faith and confidence. Joshua 1:8, NIV Active faith, be it negative or positive, is generated in the heart. What we generate in the heart through meditation produces faith which becomes a possibility. Once we speak something from the heart in faith it’s commanded to materialize. This is what makes all things possible. B. Positioning our heart before God is having the confidence that He is with us to fulfill His Word. God never speaks a Word without knowing the final outcome. Genesis 18:9-14NIV God speaks what He desires to manifest in us and/or through us and time permits it to be so. God has foreknowledge of what is to come. He uses that knowledge and intertwines our behavioral response to situational circumstances into His predestined plan which fits into our intentional existence. If we are sincerely pursuing God wholeheartedly, our mindset changes. We are mature in our decision making and confidence is developed through relationship. 1. When God decrees something, the position of our heart is yes and amen, believing that in time it will come to pass. God says nothing without considering the natural and spiritual effects that are implied on His people. Numbers 11:18-23, NIV, Jeremiah 32:27Message Bible 2. What makes any or everything possible is the Spirit of God who has no limitations. We must believe that God is with us to mandate His will. Luke 18:27, NIV, Ezekiel 12:26-28, NIV 3. Faith and confidence (which is being fully persuaded with a conviction of the heart that God can and will do whatever He says) is our aim. Mark 14:36, NIV, Jeremiah 1:9-12, NIV Conclusion: Nothing is impossible if we have faith in God to perform His Word. There is a faith we must have in our own words as well. If our words are to speak faith liken to God’s, our perception has to change. We can’t allow negativity to influence the status of the type of faith we speak from the heart. Jesus said in Mark 9:23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." NKJV
