Teaching Develop teaching materials such as module guides, test papers, examination papers, assessment instruments, and workbooks. Facilitate learning using different teaching methodologies. Assess student performance in a reliable and valid manner, appropriate to the outcomes. Plan and implement the offering of modules alone or in a team. Provide opportunities for individual student interaction. Establish and maintain supportive and professional relationships with student for whose teaching s/he is responsible. Seek ways of improving performance by reflecting on teaching design and delivery, and obtaining and analysing feedback from students, the line manager, and peers. Deal professionally and positively with student concerns, problems and challenges. Recognise areas where current provision may be in need of revision or improvement. To act as a mentor for students in the capacity of personal tutor, giving first line support. 2. Administration Become acquainted with all relevant University policies and to implement these appropriately. Responsible for the preparation and co-ordination of various teaching and examination schedules within the Discipline. Manage own teaching programme efficiently, keeping adequate records of teaching, student performance and other aspects of functioning.
