The main focus of this post is to assist in the administration and promotion of the examinations business of the British Council Bangladesh. Context and environment: Examinations form an important element of the British Council’s operation in Bangladesh, creating opportunities for thousands of young people. The examinations operation supports the British Council’s wider objective of providing opportunities for education and professional development to people worldwide. The Bangladesh examinations operation is one of the largest in the world offering the full range of school, professional and English language examinations. We run exams business by working together as a team. We conduct a large number of English medium school exams, IELTS exams and other Professional exams. The IELTS exams operation in Bangladesh is one of largest exams operations in the SA region. We expand and defend our IELTS exams market share by working together as a team as we have competitors in the local IELTS market. The post holder will deliver a wide range of exams services including registration, fee collection, recording of financial transactions and other exams records under the supervision of the IELTS Administrator. The post holder will work with the IELTS Administrator and will assist in the delivery of exams in a professional manner by maintaining all QCA standards in Chittagong. Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: Exams Administration Ensure that all security and QCA standards are followed for maintaining all exam confidential materials Ensure logistics for exams administration, including venue management Ensure the efficient exams day delivery is maintained as per IELTS Administrator guideline Ensure the efficient exams day delivery for IELTS, IELTS UKVI and IELTS Life Skill Ensure candidate registration, data entry, fee collection are completed accurately and efficiently Finance 1 of 4 Recruitment Team January 2015 To ensure that British Council financial procedures are strictly followed To deliver a range of financial services, including registration, cash collection, recording financial transactions using SAP as necessary to perform these tasks. Customer Service & Communication Has clear understanding and able to handle enquiries about examinations and processes when required Liaise with schools and study centres monthly for any updates. Meet all QCA standards. Examinations Promotion To maintain contacts database of stakeholders e.g. Institute, schools, exam boards and ensure that all information is up to date. To maintain relationships with schools and study centres strongly and to see that they have the relevant product information.
