BAPTISM
The baptism of children of registered
parishioners is celebrated on the last Sunday of
each month. Baptisms are not celebrated during
the season of Lent. Parents must attend a prior
formation session and a rehearsal.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
This sacrament is celebrated once a year during
weekend Masses and is available at other times
on request.
PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK
Our Parish Care Givers bring the Eucharist to
those who are sick in hospitals, nursing homes
or in their own residences.
MARRIAGE
Couples contemplating this sacrament must
contact the Parish office at least 6 months prior
to their desired wedding date.

A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Who Cares?
The image of the good shepherd is the image of a
person who cares. He is not like the other, “who has
no concern." He takes the time to get to know
others, and he cares so much that he will even give
his life for others.
We belong to a church populated by caring
individuals who give their lives for others: priests and
nuns martyred in El Salvador; missionaries
struggling in the remotest parts of the world; peace
activists challenging the consciences of nations;
sisters caring lovingly for the sick and dying.
What would happen if all of us cared, really cared,
about our brothers and sisters who are hungry,
homeless, helpless, mistreated, victimized, suffering,
unemployed, impoverished, threatened, rejected?
What would happen if all of us became good
shepherds and cared? Wouldn't the consequences
be monumental if everyone in the Christian
community became a good shepherd?
No one can remain indifferent to the
lot of his brothers who are still buried
in wretchedness, and victims of
insecurity, slaves of ignorance."

Justice Corner
Good Shepherd
The scriptures continue the theme of reconciliation, unity,
and service. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, shows us how to
care for others so we can all be reconciled, united, and at
peace.
Pope Paul VI said, “If you want peace, work for justice.” Like
Jesus, he understood that peace requires a culture of life,
and acts of service. Peace results when all human beings
have what they need to live dignified lives: food, water,
shelter, healthcare, compassion, solidarity, freedom, etc.
There can never be peace when there is inequity in the
distribution of resources.
We are called to shepherd others with gentle compassion –
especially those who wander far away from God and seem
unlovable. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, needs our hands and
feet to strengthen the weak and downtrodden!

and gathers the lambs in his arms,
holding them carefully close to his heart,
leading them home.”

Fourth Sunday of Easter:
Today, we celebrate “Good Shepherd
Sunday” where we reflect on Jesus’ love
and care for us. This month, through
