Elementary Wednesday Night Spring Schedule 2014
Grades 1st - 6th: Time 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm
The youth center, located in basement at St. John the Baptist Church, will be open for all children walking to
church immediately after school. A healthy snack and drink will be offered at this time.
January 8: Classes resume at 4:15 PM
January 15: Children’s Mass at 4:45 PM
(Children meet in their classrooms at 4:15PM)
January 22: classes begin at 4:15 PM
January 29: classes begin at 4:15 PM
February 5: No classes, early release
Children’s Liturgy of the Word Fall Schedule
For children in 4k -1st grade
CLOW takes place two Sundays a month at St. Johns. Children
are dismissed by Fr. Dave after the opening prayer along with
their catechist and return after the intercessions. While in class
they will learn about the Sunday Gospel reading.

Mass Schedule: St. John’s: 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Good Shepherd: 5:15 PM
Children’s Mass (typically 30-40 minutes): The 5/6 grade
students will be learning to be lectors and ushers. The children
will receive children’s envelops the week before. They are to
bring them to the monthly Children’s Mass to be put into the
collection basket. They may make a monetary donation or just
write down their time and talent on the envelope. We invite all
families to attend Mass with their children.
March 12: Children’s Mass at 4:45 PM

March 19: No classes, spring break
March 26: class begins at 4:15
April 2: classes begin at 4:15 PM
April 9: Children’s Mass at 4:45 PM

April 23: Classes begin at 4:15 PM
April 27: First Communion
April 30: Classes begin at 4:15 PM
May 7: classes begin at 4:15 last religion class
Soup & Sandwich: on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. We
invite you to stay and eat after our Children’s Mass. Soup &
Sandwich is served from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and is free to
everyone in our community.
Holy Week Mass Schedule
Holy Thursday: 6:00 PM at Good Shepherd Parish,
Westfield
Good Friday Service: 12:15 PM at St. Johns, 3:00 PM at
Good Shepherd in Westfield
Saturday Easter Vigil: 8:00 PM at St. Johns (reception
follows)
Easter Sunday: 8:30 AM at St. Johns, 10:30 AM at Good
Shepherd in Westfield
