Entertaining Speech Outline
Title
Speaker’s Name: Alex Gandy
Central Idea (Main Goal): A tribute to Michael Jackson and how he changed the music world.
INTRODUCTION- You may know Michael Jackson, right? Well now you are going to
know what he did before you were even born, maybe besides Mr. Ventura.
Attention Grabber: He caught his fire on fire while he was shooting a Pepsi commercial in the
1980s and his most famous pet, Bubbles, was a chimpanzee, from Texas, also he would
accompanied him to his shows.
(Transition) Now, let’s say how he changed the music world
BODY
I. First Major Point Michael Jackson changed music before it was just him
A. The Jackson 5 was a group that Michael started singing.
B. Michael, Marlon, Jermaine, Jackie, and Tito were the Jackson 5
members.
C. I Want You Back, ABC, and I’ll Be There were some of their greatest
hits that are still sung by the generation before or our parents in
shorter terms.
(Transition) Next, his famous self- career and how did they like Michael’s music
II. Second Major Point People love his music when he was by himself
A. During his BAD world tour, he had 4.4 million people show up to the
concerts.
B. Thriller is the world’s best-selling record of all time with an estimated 50
million copies sold worldwide.
C. Billie Jean was the first video by a black artist to air on MTV.
D. The largest television audience in US history watched him perform at half
time during the 1993 Super Bowl.
E. Thriller, Bad, Beat It, Billie Jean, Black and White, and Love never Felt So
Good were just some of his famous songs that were sang around the world in
many different languages.
(Transition) Finally, all of Michael’s great accomplishments throughout his excellent
III. Third Major Point Accomplishments of Michael’s career
A. He won 13 Grammy awards.
B. He won an MTV award for Best Movie Song in 1994.
C. Jackson was given a royal title in the Ivory Coast in 1992.
D. A survey in 1997 declared him the Most Famous Person in the World.
E. He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (one for himself and one as
part of the Jackson Five).
(Transition) Now let’s talk about what I said during this speech.
CONCLUSION- IN CONCLUSION, HE WAS A GREAT SINGER BEFROE, AND
AFTER HIS SELF CAREER, AND ALL OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING HE
INTIRE CAREER WERE JUST AS GREAT TOO.
Clincher: He will be missed by some, but not by people who didn’t like the guy like the rest of
the Jackson 5. This may be a joke, but I always thought this way because it was Michael, and the
4 other guys on the stage.
