Work in progress, the development of which has received funding and support from the Canada
Council for the Arts, the Canadian Stage Company and the Blythe Festival. Was workshopped
and developed by the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.
Toronto Adventures
Produced by Festival Antigonish and Go Fly A Kyte Productions in summer 2007 in three
separate runs. Remounted in Summer 2008 by Victoria Playhouse.
Little Women
Stage adaptation produced and mounted by Linlea Theatre company summer 1999
The Dating Connection
Produced and mounted by Brennan Productions in 2001
RELATED EXPERIENCE
Documentary/TV
Writer for documentary and television production companies including Banger Films, Gorica
Productions, Kyoko Productions and Wind Chime Productions. Duties included research in
traditional and Internet forms, writing synopses and treatments, interviewing, script writing
and advising and pitching.
Funding Researcher/Writer
Have researched and written funding documents and grant applications for several companies,
including Acting Up Stage Theatre, Studio 180 and Black Box Theatre.

Have written website text for various individuals and businesses, such as Him and Her
Photography.

Duties included researching funding for all areas of the arts, researching grant application
procedures, personal consultations about grant writing, organizing grant writing workshops,
preparing hand-outs and general office duties.

Have served as publicist for various bands, performers and productions, including The
Groove Gurus, Grant Tilly, Ian Sherwood, Funny Business, Toronto Adventures, Cloning:
The Musical, Little Women, The Dating Connection, etc.
Producing
Formed own production company in 2006, Go Fly A Kyte Productions, which produced
Internet series Toronto Adventures for Canada’s first Internet channel, www.untv.ca. Go Fly
A Kyte Productions also produced the run of stage play Toronto Adventures for a summer
2007 run at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre and the Atlantic Fringe Festival in
Nova Scotia. This play was remounted in summer 2008 at the Victoria Playhouse. Lindsay
Kyte created, wrote and acted in both the Internet and stage productions of Toronto
Adventures.
EXPERIENCE / ACHIEVEMENTS
*Weekly e-mail series called Toronto Adventures that is read by over 1000 people across Canada, has been published in
compilation form by both The Toronto Star and The Telegraph Journal and has been a topic on CBC Radio and television
numerous times. Was as well a blog in the Cape Breton Post.
*Recipient of several grants, including a Canada Council grant.
*Founded Anne & Diana Skits in 2001 which produced 30 minute musical vignettes
*Poetry published in several anthologies
