 Preparation of Mechanical test packages based on project specification and ITP.
EXPERIENCE IN PIPING INSPECTION
 Material receiving inspection in project ware house with reference to the project specification, mill certificates and material check list.
 Inspection of pipes and piping components for damage, ASTM material code markings and

 Inspection prior to welding, parameters includes pre heat values as per B31.3 330.1.1/
ASME Section VIII D1 APPENDIX R preheat values based on P-No: Para.R1 To R10, joint
design, joint type, fit up (HI-LOW), root gap, welding consumables, gas flow, purging gas
concentration and electrical characteristics.
 Inspection during welding like current, travel speed, torch weaving, weld metal deposition,
cleaning, consumable insert, torch angle with respect to the consumables feeding, wind protection, shielding gas flow rate, inter pass temperature and consumables utilization.
 Visual inspection after welded the joint as per project specification, acceptance criteria
B31.3 341.3.2 , ASME Section V Article-9 and scheduling for the NDT Requirements.
 Inspection of heat treatments process including Pre heating, post heating and post weld
heat treatment( PWHT) for heavy walls piping, alloy steel etc. based on project specification
and standard codes B31.3 Table 330.1.1.
 Inspection of cold pipe bend based on bending radius as mentioned in the ISO metric drawing and with reference to the standard codes B31.3 Para.332.
 Inspection of seal welding and liquid penetrant examination for the threaded joint after hydro test as per project specification and standards B 31.3-328.5.3, ASME Section V- Article-6 T-672.
 Inspection of Orifice flanges, Internal flush grinding of weld, upstream and downstream
hole orientation(tapping point) based fluid type and as per project specification, standards
B16.36, API 551-Chapter 14 Section-3 Part -1 of API Manual of petroleum measurement Standards.
 Reviewing the test packages prior to line checking as per project requirements and make
sure that the test package contains all the attachments.(eg: Test legend, P&ID, ISO metric drawings, punch list, weld summary, NDE summary, test reports, pre test checklist and mechanical completion report etc.)
 Final Inspection of pipeline and its components for making the punch items “A” and “B” as
per P&ID, ISO metric drawings and project specifications.
 Experienced with witness to hydro testing, gravity testing, sensitivity testing, Pneumatic testing and
all types of pressure testing for pipe lines and components including reinforcement pad etc.
 Witness for the draining, flushing and blowing activities after hydro tests.
