ENG 201: Humanities Assignments, TR
1) Thursday, Oct. 25:
Read the discussion of Song of Roland, pp. 350-351, and read the
selection from Beowulf, pp. 352-54. (Do not rely on the terrible
movie about Beowulf—I know the difference)
2) Tuesday, Oct. 30:
Read Everyman, pp. 354-62, and Aucassin and Nicolette, pp. 36372. (These are plays so give yourself a little extra time to read
them—they’re both worth it!)
3)
Thursday, Nov. 1: EXAM 2
Yes, we know it’s the day after Halloween. We recommend using
the sugar high to energize your exam answers—we also
recommend reading and studying. Just sayin’.
4) Tuesday, Nov. 6:
Read “Our Lady’s Juggler,” pp. 387-88 and Chaucer’s Prologue
from The Canterbury Tales, pp. 388-95.
5) Thursday, Nov. 8:
Read Chaucer’s “The Reeves Tale,” pp. 396-99.
