2012 TASMANIAN STATEWIDE SERIES
Dates: The 2012 series will be run as 2 Day standalone events.
Dates and Venues are as follows:
Round 1
CHKC January 14/15 Round 2
STKC February 11/12
Round 3
NWKC March 3/4
Round 4
LKC March 24/25
The events to be held on a two day Saturday and Sunday format.
Points System: 25,20,18,16,14,12,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 etc will be applied
to finishers of all 16 races. The 14 best results will count to the series point
score. There must be a minimum of 4 competitors to validate a class towards
the series. Validated classes must run at least 3 rounds to count towards the
series. Each competitor must also compete at a minimum of 3 rounds to be
eligible for series awards/trophies.
Fees: Entry fee will be $60.00 per round. $35.00 per second entry.
$10.00 from each entry goes to prize pool.
Classes: *Cadets, *Rookies, *Junior National Light and Heavy,
*Junior Clubman, *Senior National Light and Heavy,
*Clubman Light, Heavy and Super Heavy,
*Over 40 Pro and Super Heavy, *Tag Restricted Light and Heavy, TAG Light and
Heavy.
There will be Fluro patches provided to be placed on Nassau Panels to easily
identify the heavy classes.
Awards/Trophies: As a minimum, the organising club will provide the
following trophies at each round for all 16 classes:
Up to 5 entries - 1st only except (Cadets, Rookies and Junior Clubman 1st, 2nd
and 3rd) 6 to 8 entries – 1st and 2nd
8 or more entries – 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Series awards and trophies including red plates for class champions will be
awarded at the conclusion of the series at a time and date to be fixed.
Tyres: Tyres as per relevant chapter for slicks and wets (Rule 23.10), All
Dunlop classes are restricted to one set of slicks (SL1A) and wets for the 4
rounds of the series. All other classes are restricted to 2 sets of slicks (MG
Reds) and one set of wets for the series. Tyres must remain as sets of 4. One
set of 4 for round 1 and 2 the second set of 4 for round 3 and 4. Barcode
scanning will take place at all rounds. Replacement tyres as per Rule 1.32.4
& 1.32.5
Wet weather tyres are to be presented at the first Round you use them to
be marked and placed within the Barcode system.

Any tyre can be used for practice Rule 1.32.2. Tyre supply, retention and
compliance to the rules are the responsibility of the competitor.
Format: the following format has been put together with a great deal of
consideration to all points raised over past years. It is also utilising our
transponder systems and closer aligning to State and National Championships
at the same time increasing laps and time on the track.
It will consist of:
8 minute qualifying*,
2 x 10 lap heats,
12 lap heat and a
15 lap final
*An 8 minute carbie session for each class will be used as a qualifying session
at the start of each round. (Timed Carbie Session (TCS))
The fastest time will determine pole position, second fastest on second grid
and so on, to start the first and second heat.
*0, 2, 3, 4 will be applied to the first 2 heat results. Heat 3 grid will be
lowest to the front etc.
*P Platers will start from the rear of grid as per rule 13.15.2 (c)
*Failure to register a qualifying time refer rule 16.05 (d)1
*Late Entries will be slowest time plus 2 seconds.
*Classes will be combined throughout the round including the final. Classes
will be separated only when grid capacities are exceeded.
Combined classes are:
*Junior National Light and Heavy,
*Senior National Light and Heavy,
*Over 40 Pro and Super Heavy,
*Clubman Heavy and Super Heavy, Tag Restricted Heavy
*Clubman Light and Tag Restricted Light
