Mental Health involves thoughts and feelings. Some ways to be mentally healthy are as follows: Face difficult situations with a positive, realistic outlook. Express your feelings clearly and calmly to others. Set priorities so that you can handle all of your responsibilities. Use your talents effectively to achieve your goals. Be patient with yourself as you learn new skills. Accept new responsibility for your actions. Since the examples listed above are for people in general, here are some examples of how mental health pertains to me. I take Honors courses to enrich my learning. I play bridge as an extracurricular math activity as well as a fun, enjoyable experience. Another mental attribute is the oboe. Of the pictures I included, one is a deck of cards because bridge is a wonderful mental exercise. Another is the oboe because the oboe is a challenging, intricate mental attribute. Also is some math symbols, because one of my extracurricular activities is math counts. After that, a book is depicted because I love to read to enrich my vocabulary. Next, I put a happy face, because a positive attitude is key to my mental health. Following is a list in order because I need to set my priorities in order to become a healthier mental person. Proceeding that is an hourglass, because I need to watch the time while I’m planning out my homework and fun time. Finally, an organized environment is very helpful and comforting while I’m working, so a file cabinet is my last picture. In my mental health, one thing I can work on is managing my time while doing homework and fun activities. Social health involves how you relate to others. Respect and care for members of your family. Have a friendly, open attitude toward other people. Pay attention to what you say and how you say it. Be a loyal, truthful, and dependable friend. Learn to disagree without arguing and show respect for others. Here is how social health pertains to me: I have a very good relationship with my parents. My circle of friends is satiated. I respect all others. In my page, I included the following pictures. First is a no gossip sign, as I do not spread gossip since is negative and puts people down. After that are two friends, as friendship is very helpful to me in my social health. Next is “think before you speak,” since this way you won’t upset anybody. Furthermore, have two people who are not arguing, but agreeing. By agreeing, I take stress out of everybody’s lives. Following that is a plus for positive attitude. When I am positive, I have a much easier life because I am not stressed out. Proceeding is a heart, because if you love others, you will have a very nice life with lots of warm feelings. Also, a person laughing is depicted, as laughing is key is keeping me upbeat and happy. Finally, I put a respect sign, as I need to respect my elders and my peers and be respected by them in return. My goal is to always remember to think before I speak.
