Science Kick-Off/SOWG:
The rover is in automode. We had an X-band uplink fault on sol 1526 having to do with
an unusable telecom alignment. Sols 1527 and 1528 were not uplinked. We will go back
to 1526 to recover remote sensing activities and to sol 1527 to repeat the IDD resistance
test diagnostics.
From the sol 1528 TDL report: X-band fault. Earth was below the rover deck. We did
not get sol 1526 onboard and chose not to uplink 1527 and 1528. 3361 data products in
flash; 804 mbits available; 0.55 tau; 417 solar array W-hrs; downlink pass was 78 mbits.
Other than the X-band fault, the rover is in good shape.
LTP Report:
Today we will do a fault recovery, IDD diagnostic, Garrels pan -- repeating parts one and
two, 13F soil, and remote sensing. As the sol path continues, we will try to recover the
next part of the Garrels pan, more IDD diagnostics and then drive on to Cape Verde. We
had some dust clearing over the weekend. Flash is in pretty good shape -- negative
unsent. Recommendation is about 340 mbits which is the number from the 1526 plan.
PDL Reports:
PC: Received a couple of retransmitted full frames from sol 1514 photometry
experiment, a couple of taus, and runout sequences.
APXS/MB: No report.
MI Nothing new.
MT: Nothing new.
RAT: Nothing new.
