1. Susie was in a bad car wreck. She dislocated her
cervical vertebrae. She has bruises to her right
acromial region and lacerations to her left buccal
area. Place an X in all the locations Susie was
injured.
2. Penny went for an annual mammogram. Her
doctor noted on her chart that a small mass was
located in the left breast, medial to the nipple.
Place an X where Penny’s lump would be located.
3. Place an X on the most superior region of the
anterior body surface and the most inferior,
medial region of the posterior body surface.

Madison was injured in a bicycle accident. X-ray
films reveals that she had a fracture of the right
patella. A cast was applied beginning at the distal
femoral region and extending to the pedal region.
Place an X where Madison’s cast begins and ends.

5. Laurie had an appendectomy. The nurse is
preparing to change the dressing. She knows that
the appendix is located in the right iliac inguinal
region, the distal portion extending at an angle to
the hypogastric region. Draw a line on the
diagram where the nurse will place the dressing.
6. Shots are usually given in the deltoid, gluteal, or
anterior femoral region. Place an X on all of the
possible regions to give a shot.
7. Pierre hurt himself in the football game. He broke
a bone in his left distal digital area. He strained
some ligaments in his left antecubital region.
