INDUSTRY PRACTICUM & FUTURE GRADUATES
The AIHS undergraduate and post graduate programs include two periods of paid industry practicum with
approved employers. All students are required to complete their industry practicum to fulfil the requirements of the
course.
These two six-month industry practicums reinforce knowledge and skills learned on campus and can prove a
valuable networking opportunity and chance to impress potential future employers. The experience gained on
placement also helps students think about their career preferences and future career pathways.
The Career Development department keeps active links with hotels, resorts and other tourism employers all over
Australia and around the world as well as with our graduates in industry through the alumni network worldwide.
Industry practicum opportunities include three, four and five-star hotels and resorts, boutique properties, events
and tourism developments.
