We talked about spring and how the buds on trees turn into leaves. We also talked about turtles and frogs, what they eat and where they live. We practiced our writing and I have noticed that a lot of the children are doing quite well with their letters. We are emphasizing “following rules” and “Following directions” to ready the children that will be going to kindergarten in fall. We are still working on this skill, but we are definitely improving! Our trip to the NEW zoo was fun! We were able to see many different animals including giraffes, penguins, bears, wolves and many other exciting animals! I was surprised to hear many of the children talking about the different animals they saw. We are definitely welcoming the nicer weather for going outside. If you would like to have sunscreen and bug spray put on your children, please bring the items in, labeled and fill out a medication form. We will be talking about Father’s Day in june and learning about dinosaurs. We will continue practicing our other skills and learn how to make kites. I look forward to our fun and learning this month!
