Students must meet New York State mandated economic guidelines and educational eligibility criteria for admission to HEOP. An average grant is $2,000 per year, limited to a total of ten semesters of payment. How Determined: Educational and economic criteria must be met as determined by the HEOP Office, the Admissions Office, and the Student Financial Aid Office according to New York State HEOP guidelines. It is designed to assist students in developing essential college-level skills in math, reading, writing, and to orient the students to college life. Supportive services are provided during the academic year. The program provides developmental courses to strengthen your reading, writing, vocabulary, and study skills.
