How do I qualify for TAP?
 Qualify for Joint Admissions
 Graduate with at least a 3.0 grade point average
What are the benefits of TAP?
 Provides a 100% tuition (not fees) discount at UMASS Amherst, and a 33 1/3% tuition (not
fees) discount at the other Massachusetts state colleges and universities. Students can save
approximately $400 to $1700 in tuition for up to two years
What do I need to do?
 Maintain a 3.0 grade point average at the transfer institution, and receive a tuition waiver for
the first and second year of attendance
 When submitting the Intent to enroll form to the four-year admission office, notify the four-year
admissions office that you qualify for TAP
 Students must transfer to the receiving public college within one year of graduation from
MWCC
o Students transferring into continuing education (evening) programs are ineligible for the
