Other Board members present were Kirk Kavanaugh, Brian Fortin, Danielle Necessary, Becky Kaminski, George Lehocky, MOTION TO APPROVE MARCH MEMBER MEETING MINUTES – MOTION APPROVED Fire (Engine 7) – Condolences expressed for loss of Firefighter Gordon. 99 runs total. 90 medical. 1 fire. 8 misc. runs. Spring cleaning – watch placement of oily rags. Don’t store in closed cans or in the house. Keep fuels in sheds or away from ignition sources. Police (Detective Linda Sellers) – 23 calls for service. 4 theft from autos. 4 thefts from Krogers. 1 theft from Goodwill. 8 burglaries. Still investigating burglaries. Call 765-1212 to report any suspicious behavior. Alarms, motion lights are great deterrents. CRC (JaLisa Elkins) – Summer program registration continues. After Memorial Day, CRC switches to summer hours. MWCC meetings move to 6 p.m. MWCC established scholarship program for one student from GA, Sands, MW Elementary. School chooses recipient. Certificate presented to Colm Hackett, student chosen from MW Elementary. Economic Development (Brian Fortin, chair) – continued to work with Justin Lightfield honing documents and messages preparing for potential developers.
