God of Burial and
Mummy Makers.
Watches over all the
jobs done in the workshop.
Does the grisly job of
removing the brain
through the nose,
using a hook.
RIPPER UP
Has to cut into the dead
body using a sharp blade,
so that the insides can be
taken out.
Later has to sew up the cut.
SALT BATHER
Places the body in a bath of
salt to dry it out, using dry
Natron salt crystals.
PRIEST
Watches over the body
saying prayers and magic
spells. Reads prayers from
the Book of the Dead.
BANDAGE DIPPER
Dips the bandages in a bowl
of warm resin and gum.
This helps the bandages
stick together when they are
wrapped around the body.
CHIEF BANDAGER
Makes sure all the linen
bandages are tightly
wrapped and places amulets
and shabtis in the layers.
JAR HOLDER
Duamutef Jackal headed god.

Guards the stomach.

rub into the skin of the body
to keep it fresh.
