Jason Hinkle Bio Jason Hinkle is a Geotechnical Specialist in ODF’s Private and Community Forest Program. Based out of ODF’s Salem Headquarters, his time is split between staff and field responsibilities. He has worked for ODF for five years, has reviewed many logging operations in the context of landslides and public safety, and provides consultation for the debris flow warning system. He has a B.S. in Geology from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in Geology from Portland State University, where he investigated many landslides from the February 1996 storm with Dr. Scott Burns on the Metro landslide inventory project and on his thesis project in the Mt Hood National Forest. Jason is registered in Oregon as a Certified Engineering Geologist.
