London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is a membership organisation made up of 2,500
companies of all sizes and sectors, in every borough in London. There are currently four categories of
membership – Patron, Premier Plus, Local (available through our branch chambers in Croydon, Ealing,
East London and Hammersmith & Fulham) and International membership.
The Marketing team works across all teams and functions to support the delivery of LCCI’s business
goals – to maximise membership, influence, revenue and customer service. The Marketing team is
custodian of the LCCI brand and as such oversees all communication across online and offline
channels.
We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team based at our Queen
Street offices in London EC4. The Marketing Manager has two direct reports – a full-time and part-time
Designer.
Key responsibilities
Strategy
Support the Director of Marketing to deliver the long-term marketing strategy, in consultation with LCCI
teams (including its Branch Chambers) to:
 Create and deliver an annual marketing plan which encompasses all activity across the
organisation and ensures that it is delivered consistently and draws on all appropriate resources
and channels
 Develop a model for entry-level membership and a shared members’ zone for across the UK
Chamber network
 Deliver a European Metropolitan Chamber Network Marketing Task force, which explores
opportunities to roll out a commercial model for personalisation to the international network of
Chambers
Brand and positioning
 Update and review all branded materials (including Branch Chambers) with the refreshed logo,
look, feel as well as content
 Review LCCI sub-brands, such as Chinese Business Association, Asian Business Association,
Avenueto, PA Club and LCCI Life and update all materials and content
 Work with Patron team to establish a coherent membership offer and deliver appropriate
marketing materials across all platforms to support it e.g. webpages, email templates,
publications, a social media presence
 In collaboration with the Facilities Manager ensure that the Members’ Lounge and LCCI
reception is on-brand
Communication channels
Custodian of all communication to ensure that messages are consistent across teams and
communication channels (print, website, email, events and social media).
 Review existing publications and corporate collateral and implement a programme to update
and consolidate them ensuring that those produced on an ongoing basis are consistent and onmessage

Liaise with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure that all digital communication is consistent
with offline channels
Marketing and promotion
Work with LCCI teams to deliver strategic objectives through an overarching annual marketing plan to
increase:

Membership acquisition
o Promote membership (including International membership) and attract new members
o Promote LCCI’s conference facilities to members and non-members
o Raise the profile of LCCI through all channels
o Work closely with the Sponsorship Manager to:
 attract external sponsors and revenue through marketing and promotion
 facilitate sponsorship value through all marcomms channels
 promote sponsorship opportunities to the membership
o Support the ongoing expansion of the Affiliate Chamber programme

Member retention
o increase awareness and member take-up of services, products and other member
benefits
o explore the feasibility of loyalty campaigns e.g. events and assist with their promotion
o promote Account Managers as a membership benefit/service to aid maximising the
benefits of membership
o promote a customer satisfaction programme which facilitates and acts on feedback on
all LCCI services

Event, Campaigns and Trade Promotion
o Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of event promotion across all channels
o Work with teams to ensure that all events have as a minimum eight weeks marketing
and is consistent with the LCCI brand and value proposition and utilises all available
marcomms channels
o Support LCCI events by utilising social media to support networking pre, during and
post event
o Utilise marcomms channels to promote paying events to non-members and provide
marketing support to upsell membership and other services
o Support the delivery and promotion of a new sector-focused events programme
o Support the delivery of policy campaigns and trade missions through all communication
channels,
o Develop strategies to promote and increase the take up of export documentation and
ensure is integrated into the member offer
Management
 Manage the Design team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to budget
 Encourage a culture of self-development, sharing feedback and of exceeding expectation
 Lead, recruit, appraise, guide, coach, develop and, where necessary, discipline team members
in line with the LCCI’s policies and procedures
 Comply with LCCI’s policies and procedures, including use of data and databases, event
management systems, Customer Values, Central Marketing Process, Housestyle, complaints,
health and safety, etc
 Represent the team at Middle Management Team (MMT) and Communications Group and
make an effective contribution


Lead and encourage effective communication and working relationships between teams
Handle complaints effectively in accordance to Chamber policy, escalating where appropriate,
recognising recurring complaints and making suggestions to reduce future complaints
