On your sheet, complete the diagram:
(a)
In the life box, give examples of good and bad thoughts and actions.
(b)
Read these quotations, decide what they are describing and where they might go
on the diagram.
God will decide and will separate
people. Those who have fed the
hungry, given water to thirsty,
welcomed the stranger, clothed
the naked, visited the sick and
those in prison will go to Heaven,
those who have not will go to Hell.
Everyone who has faith in Jesus
will not have to perish in Hell, but
will have everlasting life. If you
put your faith in Jesus you will
not come under judgement but will
go straight to Heaven.

Is believing that if you are good you will get to heaven a good reason to be good?

Your mum nags you to walk the dog.
You can’t be bothered. You open
the front door and let the dog take
itself for a walk.
The dog runs into the road and gets
knocked down by a lorry. It dies.
Jenny tells Craig she’s had enough
of his selfish ways. The
relationship is over. She doesn’t
want him any more.
Craig shrugs his shoulders. He
forgets Jenny. Next week he is going
out with Helen.
Amil steals 3 Mars Bars from
Woolworths.
No-one notices. He gets away with it.
Michelle’s mum breaks her leg
tripping over a paving stone, so
Michelle cooks all her mum’s meals
and runs her errands for a month.
Michelle’s mum Carol is really pleased
and proud of her kind daughter. She
treats Michelle to a new outfit.
Mark punches Paul in the mouth.
He knocks out two of Paul’s teeth.
Fiona drops a plastic bag from her
packed lunch into a river.
A fish swims into a plastic bag and
dies.
Amy tells her friend Donna that she
looks great in a new t-shirt (she
doesn’t, she looks awful).
They go out. Donna gets very upset
when she realises people are
sniggering behind her back.
Fred sends some money off to
Water Aid to put towards a well in a
village in Mozambique.
The people in the village of
Mozambique are happy. 3 less people
die of unclean water in the next year.
David visits his Grandma and gives
her a big hug.
David’s Grandma feels happier and
loved.
Gemma shouts at her mum and says
“I hate you”.
Gemma’s mum cries. Gemma goes to
her room and cries.
Wayne loses the CD that Kamal has
lent him. He confesses this to
Kamal.
Wayne says “Never mind mate, I’ve
lost that game you leant me. Stuff
happens.”
Katie is really jealous of her friend
Evie’s new puppy.
Katie nags her mum for a puppy like
Evie’s. They fall out because her mum
works full time and it would be cruel
to keep a dog.

No-one ever reports losing £10.

Nathan gives a homeless person
selling ‘The Big Issue’ some money.
The homeless person uses the money to
buy alcohol.
While Peter is away on business he
sleeps with a woman who is not his
wife.
Peter’s wife never finds out. They stay
married.
Jennifer eats nothing but chocolate
and cake for a week.
Jennifer starts to feel awful. She puts
on 5 lbs and gets spots.
Sukinder gossips behind Frankie’s
back and gives away all her secrets.
Frankie finds out and breaks her
friendship with Sukinder.
Daniel smiles at every person he
meets and makes a positive choice
to try to see the good in everybody.
People smile back at Daniel. People are
positive back to him.
Claire murders her Auntie because
she tried to stop her going to a
nightclub. Claire is 15.
Claire is placed in custody and found
guilty. She is sent to a young offenders
institution.
