Annotation:
1. According to the clause 16 of regulations for administrating container terminal operators, the charge
items and rates in this table are executing in principle. But in reality, the charge rate is based on the
transpacific stabilization agreement (TSA) which is signed by each customer and KMCT.
2. Normal regulations:
(1)The criteria units of charge in this rate table are listed below:
(a)The criteria unit of amount of money is the “New Taiwan Dollar (NTD)”.
(b)The criteria unit of weight is “metric ton”. One metric ton is equal to one thousand kilogram.
(c)The criteria unit of volume is “one cube meter”. One cube meter is equal to one metric ton.
(d)The “day” means the “calendar day”.
(2)The “revenue ton” means that the criteria of charge depend on the higher value between weight ton
and measurement ton which is measured by the most length, the most width and the most height of
volume of cargo.
(3)The cargo which is charged by ton will be charged basing on one ton. It will be regarded as one
ton for the cargo which is less than one ton
(4)The cargo which is laden container devanning at terminal will be charge for the revenue ton of
maximum volume or the maximum weight as the criteria of shipper. It means that 20 feet
container and 40 feet container is equal to 25 tons and 50 tons, respectively. If the measured ton
of cargo is more than the criteria, it will be charged by the measured ton.
(5)The application of forklift for the customs examination of concentrate container inspection will be
charged for extra NT$600.
(6)The charge will be negotiated especially for the operation of special work or cargo.
(7)Each B/L or S/O for the operations of the CFS warehousing or taking out of warehouse in national
holiday or holidays will be charge NT$1800 additionally.
(8)All the rates on the table shall be levied an extra value added tax (VAT) 5%.
