About CoHo Productions COllaborative, HOmegrown Theatre Celebrating 17 years of high-quality, professional, affordable, engaging theatre! Established in 1995, CoHo’s First Production of BodyHold was performed in the basement of the Benson Hotel in Downtown Portland. The next 6 years were spent in true Portland Theatre fashion moving from found space to non-traditional space, building each production from empty room to functional performance space. In 2001 the company secured a permanent home in a former book bindery at our current location on the edge of the vibrant NW district. Generous community support and several foundational grants helped transform the building into an intimate black box space seating up to 100 patrons. Office space was created adjacent to the theatre and currently houses our administrative offices as well as the offices of Neighbors West Northwest. CoHo Productions thanks you for advertising with us. We’re pleased to be recognized in the region by almost two dozen Drammy Awards and maintain a nationally unique co-production model. Over the years several companies have co-produced their first productions in our home, including Third Rail Repertory, Profile Theatre, and Playwrights West. Annually more than 4000 patrons share our vision and support our artists. Our Founders, Gary Cole and Robert Holden remain actively involved in the growth of the company. Gary, living in North Carolina, acts as an advisor for the health of the organization and Robert continues to serve on our Board of Directors. CoHo Productions illuminates humanity by producing vibrant new and richly envisioned classic plays, championing exceptional local theatre artists, and providing them with diverse opportunities thereby deepening the theatrical landscape of the community. CoHo has pioneered a unique collaborative model of co-production. We invite local theater artists to propose projects from which our Artistic Council and Board of Directors curate our main season. We provide the venue, funds, marketing, and administrative and artistic support. CoHo’s co-producer is then principally responsible for the artistic aspects of the production. Our artists are our collaborators and partners through every step. We look forward to partnering with you and continuing to provide exceptional opportunities for the Arts in our region. Yes! I would like to Advertise with CoHo Productions. Theater patrons are discerning consumers, many with significant disposable income. They already enjoy the terrific theater that CoHo brings to Northwest Portland and are eager to explore the other opportunities our neighborhood has to offer. A significant number of our patrons shop or dine out before attending a performance and go for a cup of coffee or a drink after the show. We invite you to advertise with us and tell our audiences not only about your unique business but also that you recognize the importance of the arts in our community. As you’ll see on the accompanying rate sheet, our advertising rates remain quite reasonable. And please remember that your ad comes with complimentary or discounted tickets, so you’ll have a chance to see the great theater you’re supporting.
