Dear Host family
Hello, I am Vanessa Arrascue, I am 26 years old. I was born in
Lima, the capital of Peru, but I live in Trujillo.I`m working in a
hostel of y family, the name is Mochica`s bed & breakfast. Which
is a small hostel but nice, I like it!!!!
I studied Tourism and hotelery for 4 years ,I also learnt English
when I was 17 years old in a institute and then I took classes with
a private teacher. I`m studying Italian now and i`m doing
great!!!,.....but I would like to learn French after that, because I
think is very interesting to learn different languages, but not only
that, to learn more about different cultures, new things….and to
know other’s people customs!!!!
We are 7 members in my family, my parents and my 3 siblings, I
have 2 sisters and 1 brother; I live with Solange the youngest, she
studies at school, near home….. She likes chatting on the internet
with her friends; she also likes to spend time with friends, on
weekends above all!!!!.....She likes singing, listening to music and go
to parties!!!!
Fiorella, is 23 years old, she’s living in the netherlands.She`s
studying Dutch there because she wants to study pastry making
there. She is an outgoing girl, really funny; she likes to spend time
with friends.
Alonso who is younger than me….is 20 years old; he`s studying to
become a chef, he studies in Lima. Alonso is a bit shy, but funny….
He likes football like almost every men, he is very good at playing
football! he likes to watch movies and series…to go to parties and
pubs, he is very genuine and he likes to
Make jokes!!!!!
I get along very well with them; they all are nice….and we have a
good time when we are together; we make jokes, and we laugh a
lot!!!!
My parents are great parents, they love each other so much, and
they love us….they always want the best for us!!!! And advice us all
the time, we use talk at breakfast, lunch and dinner….or anytime
about our friends, what we want to do, etc.
My dad , Jorge, is very active and energetic he is a business man he
has his own enterprise and works for a security company as well
that`s nice.., my mon, Annabell, is housewife, he likes to sing, and
make a nice dessert called: “Arroz con Leche” which is very nice!!!,
she is really nice and sweet with us, we like to spend time together
and we always have a cup of coffee in the afternoons!!!! , I think is
for my mother`s influence that I love to make desserts.
I love my parents a lot we have a nice relation ship together.
I consider myself a funny girl, happy, outgoing, and easygoing, and a
girl who likes to know new things, I like dogs, I had one, her name is
Romina, but she isn’t here with us because she needed a bigger
place where she can run, I miss her!!! I like children, and I like to
learn about their creativity!!!!...I think they are soo creative
persons…and you can learn much about them!!!!
I like to do new things, to know different places…to meet people!!!
I really enjoy the nature, I love adventure sports and I really
would like to lear how to ski.
I like dancing , go to the cinema and sing as well.
I love jazz music and my favorites singers are form Canada too!!!,
i`m totally fan of Michael Buble and Diana Krall , I really enjoy
listen them. I also like blues , soul, pop and rock music like norah
jones, Amy winehouse, anita baker and Robbie Williams,
coldplay,etc.
I will tell you something about the town where I live . Trujillo
where I live now is a nice city…its situated in the north of Peru it
has supermarkets, pubs, discos, restaurants, cinema, etc…… its
main square is big!!!!....it’s also called “La ciudad de la Primavera”;
that in English means “The Spring’s city”…because almost all the
year is sunny!!!!!!......you also can visit “Huanchaco” that is 20
minutes far away from Trujillo; it’s a resort, where you can enjoy
the sun, and eat some nice stuffs there!!!!...and many surfers go
there to practice because it has big waves….those waves are good
for surfers!!!!.....You also can go to “Chan Chan” , one of the largest
mud-brick structures in the world and also you can visit other
important interesting ruins.
About my babysitting experience; I have to say that I consider
myself a very responsible, affectionate, energetic and patient
babysitter. I took care of nice children; for example Alonso,
Dafne, they are brothers, we used o play a lot. We used to talk a
lot about everything and to do many activities together.
Well, Ricardo is another cute child, he’s also smart…he likes to play
football so much!!!! we used to go to the park to play football it was
a sweet childcare experience, whe used to make desserts because
he says one they he is going to be a great pastry maker , I
remember that I enjoyed to help him to do his homework, but once
he told me: Vane, I know how to do it by myself, thank you!!!...when
I need you I will tell you!!! And I was like: oh god, ok Ricardito I
know you’re smart!!!! And I just reviewed his homeworks.
I think children have so much to give us; because all of them are
really creative, really smart, they are always making questions;
because they want to know everything, how’s this how’s that and I
think that’s marvellous!!!!......and people can learn very much about
them, about their creativity, their curiosity, and how to make our
lives easier!!!...and it’s also funny because I found out that children
always say the truth, they are so sincere, they say what they think,
what they feel…..even though they lie sometimes, they don’t have
any malice!!!!
Well…I really want to go to the Canada, because I now it’s a very
nice country, and there are many people with different cultures
over there……and to me that’s very interesting because I can learn
more about your culture, about what people do daily or what people
don’t do, which are their customs, to meet many people, to learn a
different language in this case, to improve my English level….. to
live with a host family and know them little by little I think that
will be a very nice experience and I’m really anxious to go and meet
you and share many things together.
