th
18 Century “CONDER” TOKENS-------17TH Century tokens—19th Century tokens
Medals, medalets, unusual historical items--Hello to all---- OK, cut to the chase----The market is very strong, and I need good tokens to sell.
If you have any, from one to a thousand, please let me know. I will pay top dollar for your Conder
tokens, and am interested in all other British token series as well. Give me a call or E-mail--I have attached, at the end of the list, the information on the three products for sale that were on the last
mailing, just in case you missed it. These are all good things,
Gary Sriro's CD, with 3850 images, his collection with a population report, large images easy to see, give
him a call if you want one of his yearly updated CD's---- gsriro@gmail.com
Mike Dlugos, now out with an on-line data base, that essentially covers all of D&H---color images, an
internet held item that can be bought on line, but please let Mike know that you heard it from the Copper
Corner (we are counting)---- www.condertokenbook.com dlugosmi@yahoo.com
And, the new price guide, coming out in 2-3 months (we hope), with prices for all British tokens, not just
the Conder series. Very valuable too. If wanted, let me know and I shall put you down for one. More
information at the end of this list.
British American Token Congress for 2010 cancelled!
It is with regret that the British American Token Congress, slated for Charlottesville VA in May or 2010, has
been postponed until 2011. Any questions, send an E-mail to Alberto Washington, alwashin@hotmail.com
You can sign up now for next year, they would appreciate that as lack of early money is what cancelled this
years Congress. Many of us have simply let our money "ride", we shall see you all next year!!

19th CENTURY PENNY & HALFPENNY TOKENS
PAGE EIGHT
Withers book $143 ppd.
These interesting tokens were not saved by collectors at the time they were issued like their 18th century
counterparts. Very high grade pieces are thus all quite scarce. As well, many that were in circulation received
edge dings and other scrapes, due to their large size. In keeping with my latest practice, I shall now start at the
beginning of Wither’s book. This list, W-660 through W1046. Unless noted, all are penny tokens.

NOW--THREE GOOD DEALS
BUY THE BOOK BEFORE THE COIN--OR TOKEN---THREE PRODUCTS YOU SHOULD
OWN---------There are three products on the market---well, two are on the market now, another will join it soon, all three
designed to make your collection more fun and give you more knowledge. Each is a bit different---The first of these three is a CD from Dr. Gary Sriro---who has his 3850 token collection scanned and ready for
viewing, along with his years of work cataloging all tokens seen with population numbers that are modern ones,
not years old. Not much drawback, but of course it is only for the pieces in his collection, and only for the
pieces he has seen for sale. Like any compilation, it is not complete, but is still VERY valuable. His ad is below----
The 2009 Scans CD
Stop overpaying for tokens that are more common than you think. SAVE MONEY!!
Now on CD, 3850 Conder tokens with large, full color, high resolution scans with population
numbers.
Magnified details become an excellent research tool.
Updated modern rarity guide is included.
Price: $39 + $4 S&H
If interested, and many already have it, mention the Copper Corner and E-mail Gary at
gsriro@gmail.com
Item #2----this is what amounts to an on-line D&H, with up-dated rarity guide at the beginning,
a grading guide, and a price guide with a range of possibilities for the price of what you might
have or be looking at. A frank discussion about grading, the difference in graders, the
differences between pricing in the USA and the UK, and more. The meat of the on-line book,
for it really is one, is a listing much like the one in D&H, with all of the tokens pictured, and a
lot of tools to help you identify tokens and find things quickly.
This comes from Mike Dlugos, who has spent a couple years putting it all together.
PAGE THIRTEEN
The cost is $47 during the introductory period, it shall go to $60 I am told when it is past that,
so if interested you should get it now.
Buying it is easy, see below. If you do get it through the web site, I would appreciate knowing
that you did. We are counting, you see.
There are three methods of payment, one is done completely on line at the site, the other two
are a personal check or Pay Pal. See below for details.
1) Online checkout through the website. All automated.
2) Interested party should email me at michael@condertokenbook.com to mention that they
would like to send a Paypal payment or a check.
a) Paypal payment can be sent to michael@condertokenbook.com. Once payment is
received an account will be created for the user and sent to them by email (may take up to
24hours for me to create the account depending on what time of day Paypal payment is
received)
b) Check can be made out to Michael Dlugosz. Memo: Conder Token Book. Then, same
as above, once payment clears, they'll receive account info by email
As you can see, the fastest way to get the on line D&H type book is to go through the web site.
If you use any of the three, please let me know you are buying it.
AND ----------A PRICE GUIDE FOR ALL BRITISH TOKENS.
Paul and Bente Withers are actually doing what has been spoken of for years---putting out a
price guide---for the 17th C tokens, the 18th C tokens, and the silver and copper 19th C tokens.
It is not yet completed, but I have seen the format and the CD with some pricing, but certainly
not all. The Withers, ever busy, have some precedent in following Michael Dickinson with
their guide of 17th C tokens, looking it over I think it will come out very well, and there
certainly is no one who knows the 19th C tokens better than Paul and Bente. Where they have a
tiger by a bit of the tail is in the 18th C, with its dual interest in two countries with two
currencies, and with many tokens that come up so seldom that there really is no price for them
that makes sense. But, they are going to do their best to supply a reasonable number on what
they are finding. They have some pricing down quite nicely, and are following Schwer's
catalogue of prices to some degree, updating it, and are talking to collectors and dealers in an
attempt to get better pricing on many tokens than is currently written. A tough job---but they
shall do it.
PAGE FOURTEEN
THE BOOK WILL BE PUBLISHED, HOPEFULLY IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS--AND I PLAN TO HAVE SOME FOR SALE. Thus, in the interest of knowing before the
printing how many I need to order, which in turn will save money in the long run as shipping
books from and to the UK is an expensive thing, and the more sent the better the price-----I AM NOW TAKING ADVANCE ORDERS. Their last communication had a tentative price
of 45 pounds, or around $75, and I should hope that the shipping (which for a D&H is around
$35) would be less in volume, I expect that it will be available from me including all shipping
at around $95---might be a bit more, though, but think this is ballpark.
If you wish one, and would like to get on my list to have one ordered as it comes off the press,
let me know. copperman@thecoppercorner.com (206) 244-8345
A call or E-mail referring to any of these three products, all designed to make your collecting a
happier thing, will bring you the information on how to order or get you on the list for the price
guide. The more advance orders received, the cheaper the guide will be, at least postage wise.
Cheers,
Bill
ABREVIATIONS AND GRADING
