MPhil/PhD student in the Department of Statistics of the London
School of Economics and Political Science.
 October 2001-September 2002:
MSc student in the Department of Statistics of the London School of
Economics and Political Science (75.375/100- Distinction). Favourite
topics were Basic and Further Time Series (both marked 94/100).

October 1997-September 2001:
Undergraduate student in the Department of Statistics of the Athens
University of Economics and Business (9.64/10-Excellent). Favourite
topics were Distribution Theory, Combinatorics, Demographic
Statistics, Estimation-Hypothesis Testing, Theory of Index numbers,
Decision theory, Stochastic Processes, Statistical Quality control,
Time Series, Risk theory, Multivariate Statistics, Computational
Statistics, Theoretical Statistics, Analysis of Variance-Experimental
Design and Probability theory (all marked 10/10).

Graduated from high school (19.8/20-Excellent).

October 2002-September 2003:
Leverhulme Trust studentship, which covers the fees and the living
costs for the PhD in Statistics in the London School of Economics and
Political Science.
October 2001-September 2002:
ESRC studentship, which covered the fees for the MSc Statistics of

October 1997-September 2000:
First Greek State one-year grants (IKY) for having the best marks (in
minimum 8 modules selected) in the Department of Statistics of the
Athens University of Economics and Business.
October 1997:
First Greek State grant (IKY) for entering second the Department of
Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business with
the national examination system (with 5599 points from the 1 st branch
including exams in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
Projects:
October 2002-September 2005:
Participates in the Leverhulme Trust project titled ‘Spatial and SpatioTemporal Modelling’ as a PhD student. The work is supervised by the
grant holder Professor Q.Yao.
January 2001-September 2001:
Practical work in the Department of Statistics of the Athens University
of Economics and Business. Part of the work submitted for the Greek
Institute of Statistical Documentation, Research and Analysis and
titled ‘Profile of the high school and lyceum students and their
relationship with Mathematics during the period 1999-2000’ can be

work was supervised by Professor I.Panaretos.
October 1998-May 1999:
Participated in the project for the assessment of the Department of
Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business as
the only undergraduate student involved. The work was supervised by
Professor E.Lypitakis.
